「世界地図から進路を選ぶ」という進路指導方針のもと、グローバル高校では、毎年国内外の大学のアドミッション・オフィサーを招き、大学説明会を実施しています。国内外の大学の違いや各大学の魅力、出願方法、奨学金情報など、進路選択に必要な最新情報に直接触れることができる貴重な機会となっています。

今回は、4月17日にシドニー大学、4月23日に筑波大学マレーシア校の担当者をお招きし、説明会を実施しました。

シドニー大学は、世界大学ランキングでも常に上位に位置するオーストラリアの名門大学であり、医学・ビジネス・法学分野を中心に高い評価を受けています。説明会では、入学要件や学部構成に加え、現地での学生生活やキャリア形成について具体的な説明が行われました。特に、課外活動やインターンシップを通じて社会と接続する実践的な学びの重要性が強調され、生徒たちにとって「海外で学ぶ意義」を深く考える機会となりました。

一方、筑波大学マレーシア校は、日本の国立大学として初めて海外に設置された拠点であり、自然科学・人文科学・社会科学を横断した学際的な教育と、データサイエンスを活用した課題解決型学習を特徴としています。少人数での密度の高い教育や、多国籍な学生との協働を通じて、多様な価値観に触れられる点も大きな魅力です。

両説明会を通じて、生徒たちは「海外大学への進学」と「日本の大学でありながら海外で学ぶ」という異なる進路の可能性を理解し、自らの将来について主体的に考える貴重な機会となりました。

本校では今後も、生徒一人ひとりが世界地図から自分に最適な進路を主体的に選択できるよう、多様な機会を提供してまいります。

At Global High School, we encourage students to explore their academic pathways from a global perspective. As part of our university guidance program, we regularly invite admissions representatives from leading institutions in Japan and abroad to host on-campus information sessions.

In April, we welcomed The University of Sydney (April 17) and the University of Tsukuba, Malaysia (April 23).

The University of Sydney, one of Australia’s top-ranked universities, is internationally recognized for its strengths in fields such as medicine, business, and law. During the session, students were introduced to key aspects of the university, including admissions requirements, academic programs, student life, and career pathways. The presentation also highlighted the importance of experiential learning through internships and extracurricular activities.

The University of Tsukuba Malaysia Campus, the first overseas campus established by a Japanese national university, offers an interdisciplinary curriculum that combines the natural sciences, humanities, and social sciences. With a strong emphasis on data-driven, problem-based learning, the program equips students to address global challenges. Small class sizes and a diverse student body create an interactive and internationally minded learning environment.

These sessions provided students with valuable insight into two distinct pathways: studying at an overseas university and pursuing an international education through a Japanese institution, and encouraged students to think more critically about their future academic choices.
